Passau to Linz (Germany to Austria)

I took some better pictures of the three rivers coming together -- better showing their three different colors:
So far, other than the part between Innsbruck and Rosenheim, I am liking the Danbue cyclepath (I cycled the Northern side today -- 62 miles or 100 km) better than the Inn cyclepath. The Danube cyclepath started out with some great views leaving Passau:
I also noticed there was a lot more boat activity on the Danube:
I even got to take two different bike ferries at different sections:
Also, it was paved almost the entire way:and the vibe was more peaceful:

Once I got to Linz, I found a Linzer torte (a dessert I've been wanting to try ever since I've heard of it). Thank goodness I brought my own cutlery!
Wikipedia describe it as:
The Linzer Torte recipe is the oldest-known in the world.
Linzer Torte is a very short, crumbly pastry made of flour, unsalted butter, egg yolks, lemon zest, cinnamon and lemon juice, and ground nuts, usually hazelnuts, but even walnuts or almonds are used, covered with a filling of redcurrant jam or, alternatively, plum butter, thick raspberry,[2] or apricot jam. It is covered by a lattice of dough strips. The dough is rolled out in very thin strips of pastry and arranged to form a criss-cross design on top of the preserves. The pastry is brushed with lightly beaten egg whites, baked, and sometimes decorated with sliced almonds.

I ate an undisclosed amount and then went for a stroll of the city. I found Mozart's house from when he lived here in Linz, other historical buildings and monuments that survived the bombing the city got during WWII, and some newer landmarks:
